Jah Cure Goes 21 Weeks on the Billboard Reggae Chart

The Cure is the only Grammy-nominated project still on the Billboard Reggae chart and is now entering its 21st week on the chart.

Following his Grammy nomination, Jah Cure has moved up the Billboard reggae chart and now sits behind VP Records’ Reggae Gold and Soca Gold albums, which hold the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively.

The Billboard Hot 100 remains under Adele’s rule as her single Hello remains the No. 1 record in the world. However, Justin Bieber remains in close contention for that spot with his dancehall-inspired single Sorry. The accompanying music video also features Jamaican dance moves like the Gully Creature, created by slain street dancer Ice.

Even though iconic reggae artiste Carlene Davis might have missed out on a Grammy nomination this year; her gospel album, Dripping Blood, continues to exceed all expectations and has climbed to No. 6 in the Billboard Reggae chart this week.
